Leading in Surprising Times

a round table discussion with EMR

Over the last few months we have been working with the marketing recruitment firm EMR. As part of their social mission to “shape the future of society” EMR encourages their marketing candidates and corporate clients to contribute their marketing expertise to our cause members.

Our first event together took place in February and was a round table discussion with 20 senior marketers that explored the topic of Marketing in Surprising Times and how marketing can be a key driving force in steering business success in an unstable market place.

It was a lively discussion chaired by Steve Walker, founder of Two Sides and Ambassador for Pimp My Cause. Here is a link to a whitepaper based on the discussion titled Marketing the Unexpected: Five things we’ve learned from marketers about leading in surprising times.

EMR round table with Pimp My Cause

Several of the participants from the discussion have signed up to Pimp My Cause to get involved and support a cause directly and a few participants are also working with us to explore opportunities for organisational collaboration as well.

We look forward to future events with EMR and to working with their talented marketing candidates.
